June 2011	Fruit Kebabs – were a BIG hit with the children, and so we’ll be ‘harpooning’ some delicious fruit again this month!!! New Playworker - we are VERY pleased to welcome aboard Danny, who joined the team last week. A big hit with all the children already, (and staff) and settling into his new role very well. Fun Day Saturday 11th June at The Community Centre 2pm – 5pm – we will again be having a lucky Dip stall as well as children’s games, so please anyone with a child's or adult's Tombola type prizes please let us have your donations ASAP!! March 2011	Big Welcome in March to ......Billy and Freddy! We look forward to meeting you! Children in Need - We paid in all our sponsor money raised from sponsored silences, dancing, singing etc- which was £80. Thank you to those families and staff who supported us on this! Burns night - Prior to Chinese New Year we celebrated with Haggis, Scottish Shortbread and bag-pipes for Burns night. Most of the children tried Haggis for the first time - it didn't bite or run away - and most of them loved it!! We even had a go at reading "To a mouse" in an auld Scottish accent! Since then we have had German food week and celebrated Commonwealth Day and St. David's Day with different and often much liked tasty foods. Next Foodie week could well be just after St. George's Day when we will be making mini toad in the hole for everyone to make and try. Easter will be celebrated with a mini Easter egg hunt and Easter hat making competitions. Red nose day and Japanese fund-raising is going well , so thank you for all your support with that.
